Bilgola Bo

The Bilgola Bo is our take on the futuristic classic designed by Bo Diddley. We like to get wild with this model. Metal flake, candy, bright colours, pretty much anything outrages you can think of. The odd shape and size of this guitar makes people think they would be uncomfortable to play and heavy. However, this couldn't be further from the truth! Standing or sitting, these guitars feel great to play, and the chambered body keeps the weight down to around 3.5kg to 4kg depending on what hardware and pickups are used as well as wood choice.

In standard format the guitar comes in the following specs:

Body: Chambered Mahogany body with choice of top woods (usually maple or mahogany)

Neck: Mahogany or maple

Neck construction: Set neck, raised and angled to accomodate the bridge height.

Fretboard: Rosewood or Ebony,

Electronics & Pickups: Any pickup can be used. We find TV jones to be popular and sound great in these guitars.

Scale Length: 24.625"

Bridge: Tune o matic, We recommend a roller bridge if using a bigsby.

Tuners: 3 a side tuners of type to suit budget - grover, kluson etc. The Grover Imperial style tuners are a popular choice.

Nut: Bone

Finish: Challenge me with something crazy! Metal flake, candy, pearl, or even just a really nice vintage style thin nitro finish.

Price starts at $3800 AUD
